Design of an Experimental System of the Unbalanced Propellant Flow Transfer in Parallel Tank

    • According to the Bernoulli equation, a mathematical model of the propellant transfer in the parallel tank was established. The main influencing factors of the unbalanced propellant flow transfer in the parallel tank were exit pressure deviation of valves and differential pressure spread of metal tank diaphragm, giving a computational method of using water as the testing medium which to replace the toxical propellant. According the theoretical analysis model, an experimental system of the unbalanced propellant flow transfer in the parallel tank was accomplished, which verified the feasibility of the testing system, as the experimental basis for the designing of new generational carrier rocket upper stage. The system can stabilize the pressure change of metal tank diaphragm and propellant conveying flow by using constant flow of propellant transfer system.
