    FAILURE ANALYSIS OF ACRYLONITRILE REACTOR COLLING WATER PIPES

    • A below of cooling water pipes of acrylonitrile reactor bursted. A series of analytic tests were conducted as follows: the chemical composition, macro-appearance, micro-appearance, surface corrosion products, surface fouling, pressure and velocity. Results indicated that faiure below surface was alveolate and pressure of inner concave of the below was increased. It′s believed that part cavitation erosion for a long time was the main reason which caused the below bursted. The measures for reducing the danger were discussed.
