Analysis of Vibratory Stress Relief and Residual Stress on Trunnion Steel Girder

  • According to theory analysis,the vibratory stress relief (VSR) technique was used on trunnion steel girder of pivoted gate in Liujiadaokou water complex project,which helps eliminate the residual stress. The effect of VSR was analyzed. The results showed that the residual stress on girder was eliminated effectively by VSR technique which validated by finite element method. It provided important experience for other projects.
