    Effect of Prestrain on Tensile Properties for X80 Grade Spiral Submerged-arc Welding Steel Pipe

    • The relation between axial tensile prestrain and tensile properties of grade X80 spiral submerged-arc welding (SSAW) steel pipe was analyzed by experiments. The result showed that the yield strength of the pipe body in transverse-to-pipe-axis (TPA) orientation increased with prestrain increasing(≥1.5%),whereas ultimate tensile strength maintains the same.
