FAILURE ANALYSIS OF EXHAUST VALVE FATIGUE FRACTURE CAUSED BY THERMAL OVERSTRESS
The fracture of 21-4N exhaust valve was analyzed by macro examination and micro-analysis. The results showed that the fracture was related to the lamellar precipitate, which effected the valve mechanical performance the results showed that 21-4N exhaust valve fatigue fracture was caused by thermal overstress.
