    Research Progress of Superbainite

    • In recent years, superbainite has been studied widely due to its outstanding combination of strength and toughness, which makes it potential to be used as novel structural materials. The excellent mechanical properties of superbainite are attributed to extremely fine bainite ferrite (nano-scale) and transformation induced plasticity (TRIP) effect. A review of superbainite in recent development was given from the aspects of phase transformation theories, composition design, microstructure, mechanical properties and so on.
