    MIXED GRAIN AND WIDMANSTATTEN STRUCTURE IN PARTING FACE OF HEAVY-DUTY FORGING CONNECTING ROD

    • Mixed grain and widmanstatten were found in parting face of heavy-duty forging testing connecting-rod after normal annealing. By meams of material chemical compositions analysis,mechancal properties testing,microstructure analysis,and working procedure the connecting rod have been studied in this paper. The result showed hot sizing was the main factor to cause critical deformation,to make mixed grain and coarse grain widmanstatten appear in parting face.
