X-ray Stress Measurement of Gear Root Curved Surface

    • X-ray stress analysis method was used to measure the tangential residual stress of small curvature gear root surface, and the X-ray irradiation width was confined to overcome the curve diffraction effect. The results show that when the irradiation width was less than one third of the curve radius, the curve diffraction effect could be ignored and the residual stress measurement results are reliable.
