    RING CORE METHOD AND X-RAY METHOD OF TESTING RESIDUAL STRESS OF LARGE STEAM TURBINE ROTOR

    • X-ray method is used to test the residual stress at near surface of steam turbine rotor and test results show that the state and distribution of residual stress are different for different machining method. Both ring core method and X-ray method are used to test the residual stress of steam turbine rotor and similar results are obtained with these two methods. At present,ring-core method is an internationally accepted testing method and worth for application.
