LEAK ANALYSIS ON STAINLESS STEEL RADIATOR BOARD

The leak reason of 316 stainless steel radiator board was stress corrosion according to the results of metallographic examnation, chemical compositon ananlysis of the corrosive product and stress state analysis of failure specimen. Stress corrosion mechanisms was discussed. The source of Cl- responsible for the corrosion mainly and cyclical reaction mechanisms of Cl- during the stress corrosion process of stainless steel were studied in detail.
