Abstract
Microstructure and texture change of SWRH82B cold drawn high carbon steel wires with different deformation degree before and after austenitic annealing treatment at high temperature were characterized and studied by means of scanning electron microscope (SEM) and electron back-scatter diffraction (EBSD). The results show that microstructure of the cold drawn high carbon steel wires changed from fibroid form into equiaxed form after austenitic annealing treatment. The texture of the cold drawn high carbon steel wires was mainly 〈110〉 and its intensity increased with the increase of the deformation amount. After austenitic annealing treatment, the intensity of 〈110〉 texture dropped distinctly, the relevance between texture intensity and deformation amount also reduced, and 〈112〉 texture appeared at the same time.
