Understanding, Verification and Discussion of GB/T 228.1-2010

During tensile test, as a testing machine manufacturer, how to implement of “method A” of the new national standard of GB/T 228.1-2010, how to do the test under strain control and how to calculate the crosshead separation rate after estimating the flexibility of the system? To solve these problems, the concept of strain rate control and other terms in the new standard were stated. Using the own developed electronic universal testing machine, the sensor-channel bandwidth, effective sample point and the testing machine compliance and so on were tested. The experimental data show that the machine could meet the strain rate control requirement of GB/T 228.1-2010 and could achieve the total strain rate control.
