    Cracking Analysis of H13 Steel Hot Extrusion Die

    • The cracking reason of hot extrusion die of H13 steel were analyzed by means of macroscopic examination, chemical composition analysis, hardness testing, metallographic examination and so on. The results showed that the nonmetallic inclusions and agglomerate eutectic carbide in raw material were the main factors of the die early failure, and the existence of a small amount of microcracks also accelerated early cracking of die.
