    Fracture Analysis on Engine Fuel Manifold

    • Fracture reason of a fractured engine fuel manifold was investigated by means of macroscopic inspection, metallographic examination and fracture analysis. The results indicated that failure of the fractured fuel manifold was caused by fatigue. It was located in areas of welding joints which was attributed to in welding defects and assembly stresses too much.
