    Test Methods for Residual Stress in Large-diameter Welded Pipe of High Grade Steel

    • For three kinds of large-diameter welded pipe of X80 steel including UOE, JCOE and SAWH (helical submerged arc welding) pipe, applications of the blind hole method, slabmethod, cutting ring methodin residual stress testing for large-diameter welde dpipe of high grade steel were studied. The results showed that, for the three kinds of pipe, the estimate results of residual stress by cutting ring method were close to the test values by blind hole method and slab method, the results of three methods coincided better.
