Improvement and Test on Tension Indicating Device of Steel Wire Reverse Bend Test Machine

Tension indicating device was rarely applied in a steel wire reverse bend test machine, and the steel wire was tightened just by a spring. Through calculation of elastic coefficient of the spring, the displacement of the spring could be converted into force, and the tension indicating device was installed in the test machine. Many times test results show that the improvement to a reverse bend test machine could effectively eliminate the influence of inconsistency of tension to the the reverse bend frequency.
