    Analysis on Crack in Main Spindle of Screw Pump

    • Leakage occurs during operation, the magnetic particle inspection found that there was a crack at the root of spindle. By means of chemical composition analysis, mechanical property testing, metallographic examination and scanning electron microscopy observation, the crack reason were analyzed. The results showed that the screw spindle cracking formed due to the unreasonable arc transition design of main spindle, and led to stress concentration to accelerate the fatigue process.
