AGING MECHANISM OF PERSPEX UNDER THE TYPICAL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract
The accelerated aging experiments for perspex specimens have been conducted for 70 days under the conditions of heat air (50 ℃) and hygrotherm air (50 ℃,relative humidity 85%) and ultraviolet (50 ℃,313 nm wavelength) and tap water (50 ℃) and brine (50 ℃,3% NaCl Solution). The macro-mechanical characteristics of perspex were tested at different time during the experiments in different environment,and structure difference were analyzed between samples before aging and after aging by methods of GPC and DSC. Combined with the mechanical data,the aging rule and aging mechanisms for perspex in above typical environment were clarified qualitatively.
