Reason Analysis of Torch Cutting Cracks on Large H-beam

The reason of torch cutting cracks on large H-beam was analyzed by means of macrographic examination,hardness testing,chemical composition analysis,mechanical property testing, metallographic examination and magnetic memory testing. The results showed that the crack generated on web incise groove, which was in state of thermal stress and residual stress, and the advices about torch cutting and welding were brought out.
