Influence Factors of Impact Toughness of Friction Weld on Oil Drill Pipe

Impact toughness of friction weld on oil drill pipe is one of the important quality index.The influences of the purity of raw material, pretreatment of joint and pipe end, process of weld and heat treatment, specimen dimensions and test condition on impact toughness of weld were analyzed.It was pointed out that high purity of raw material, pretreatment for joint and pipe end, reasonable process of weld and heat treatment would improve impact toughness of friction weld.
