    Toughness-Brittleness Transition Temperature of L360 Pipeline Steel

    • The relationship between energy at every stage of the test,temperature and fracture morphology was investigated to evaluate the toughness-brittleness transition temperature of L360 pipeline steel by recording and analyzing impact absorbed energy,crack formation energy and crack propagation energy,and by observing fracture morphology through scan electron microscopy,as well as by calculating the fraction of ductility area on the fracture of the specimen. Several methods were used to analyze and compare the toughness-brittleness transition temperature of the L360 pipeline steel,and the result shows its toughness-brittleness transition temperature is below -40℃.
