    Fatigue Characteristics Testing of Wind Turbine Blade

    • The blade of a 1.5 MW horizontal axis wind turbine was selected as a research object to analyze whether fatigue life could meet the design requirement. By use S-N curve of material of blade, load spectrum of blade root and Miner fatigue accumulation theory to assess blade fatigue life. The method was used to assess the fatigue characteristics and identify whether the blade can meet the requirements. The results showed that the direction of the blades waving was the main damage direction of wind turbine.
