    THE METHOD TO EVALUATE THE MEASUREMENT UNCERTAINTY OF CHARPY PENDULUM IMPACT TEST BY QUASI-REFERENCE MATERIALS

    • Absorbed energy at a certain temperature is one of the most important parameter for some steels. It is found that sometimes two machines, both of which meet all dimensional requirements, gave significantly different values when testing specimens from the same material. In this case, it is essential to find out a reliable method to evaluate the uncertainty of measurement. This paper introduces a method to evaluate the uncertainty of measurement in Charpy pendulum impact test by quasi-reference specimens.
