EDGE CRACK ANALYSIS OF SHEET BY CSP

The microscope,SEM,EDS and so on are used to analysis the reasons of the edge cracks of the hot rolled sheet. The results show that edge crack is at the edge of the sheet and extended to inside of the plate with divergence shape;The crack is derived from the strip microstructure and the mixed crystal and widmanstatten structure and the molten slag. The high drawing speed and the mismatching of the processing parameters are the main reasons that lead to the crack.
