Application of Electrolytic Polishing for Prepareing Metallographic Specimens of 6063 Aluminum Alloy

The electrolytic polishing method of 6063 aluminum alloy was studied, according to the general principles of electrolytic polishing, the electrolytic polishing temperature, time, current, voltage and other parameters were selected by experiments. The specimens with polishing surface boundaries clear, without scratches, consistent with the observation and analysis requirements of microstructure were prepared. The method was better than mechanical polishing metallographic sample preparation method of 6063 aluminum alloy.
