    Causes Analysis on Brittle Fracture of φ28 mm 35CrMoA Steel Bars

    • To identify the brittle fracture causes of φ28 mm 35CrMoA steel bars, means such as macro examination, metallurgical examination, electron probe analysis and spectroscopic analysis were used to test and analyze the failure samples. The results show that the brittle fracture of the steel bars was mainly due to the small transversal cracks on the steel surface which formed when rolling and the large internal stress.
