Abstract
V-6W-2.5Ti and V-4Cr-4Ti alloys with and without hydrogen charging were studied. Tensile and creep tests were performed at room temperature. Results show obvious hydrogen-induced strengthening and that the strength of the alloy increases with increasing strain rate. It was found that hydrogen release happened in the tests and creep deformation occurred at high stress. Both have influenced the mechanical performance and the deformation behavior of the alloys.
