    On-line Testing for Flow Accelerated Corrosion Wall Thinning Rate of Carbon Steel by DC Voltage Method

    • According to the direct current voltage change with wall thickness, an on-line testing system was built to test the flow accelerated corrosion wall thinning rate of carbon steel in high temperature and pressure water environments.The testing system has been used for measuring the flow accelerated corrosion rate of A106GrB carbon steel in simulated secondary water chemistry of a pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant.The results showed that the DC voltage change method could be used as a reasonable method for on-line testing of flow accelerated corrosion wall thinning rate.The on-line testing data matched that of coupon weight loss perfectly and was similar to the practical result in nuclear power plant.
