Analysis on Fracture Reason of Connecting Rod in Motor

The connecting rod of motor fractured when the car was driving. The fracture reason of connecting rod was analyzed by means of chemical composition analysis, hardness testing, metallographic examination, fracture analysis and so on. It was concluded that high cycle fatigue fracture occurred in connecting rod. The rainwater entered combustion with air and led to stress overload, winding and fatigue fracture of connecting rod.
