    Analysis of Arc Crack on Gear Surface

    • The reason of arc crack on retarder gear surface was analyzed by means of chemical composition analysis,hardness testing,macrostructure and microstructure examination. The results showed that the mill cracks were produced by improper technology. And the probability of gear cracking was increased by heat treatment misoperation. So the improvement measures on the technology were put forward.
