    WEAR FAILURE ANALYSIS OF DIFFERENTIAL

    • The retaining pin of differential is rupture and the shaft pinion move out. The retaining pin was analyzed by fracture appearance,the shaft pinion and the gear differential side were analyzed by wear,hardness and metallographic. Led to the retaining pin was ruptured because the impurity enter into friction pair,it destroyed oil film lubricating and occurred particle wear,fatigue wear and adhesive wear.
