Brake pin of oil drill had fractured in procession of work. To find out the reason to keep from the same accident,the fracture sample was analyzed by scanelectronic microscope (SEM),spectral analysis and metallographic examination,the major reason was that much oxide inclusion which existed in original organization and unsuitable heat treatment weakened material′s flexibility.
