    FRACTURE ANALYSIS OF THE REVOLUTION AXIS FOR THE LOCOMOTIVE MAIN GENERATOR

    • The main generator revolution axis for the large power locomotive was broken in operation. The failure parts was tested by means of chemical composition analysis,mechanical property testing and metallographic examination. The results showed that the heating of revolution axis is not enough,austenitic homogenize is unsufficient. These caused fatigue strengtht of the generator revolution axis greatly depression,which are the main reason of the revolution axis fracture.
