Uncertainty Evaluation on Measurement of Volatile Content of Low-CIS Rubber

  • Volatile content of low-CIS rubber was tested according to ASTM D5668-2009 with P30AFrubber as example,and the uncertainty factors were analyzed and evaluated during the testing process.The resultsshow that the volatile content of low-CIS rubber P30AF X=0.67%,with the expanded uncertainty U=0.09%,coverage factor k=2,confidence probability p≈95%,and the main source of the uncertainty in the volatile contenttesting process was the inhomogeneity of the sample.
