Analysis on Fracture Reason of Cylinder Blot in Motor

The cylinder blot of motor fractured after assembly. The fracture reason was analyzed by means of macro and micro examination, chemical composition analysis, mechanical property testing, hydrogen brittleness test and so on. The results showed that the hydrogen brittleness occurred in the bolt. The fracture of bolt was due to hydrogen during parkerizing and dehydrogen process under tensile stress.
