    Piercing Failure Analysis of Oil Tube Linking in the Oil Well

    • Normal physical testing and chemical analysis and simulating experiment by autoclave were used to investigate piercing failure reason of oil tube and coupling. The results indicate that CO2 and O2 in the medium were major reason to cause damage of the oil tube and coupling. In addition, stress intensity between oil tube and coupling, high temperature and eroding of fluids in the oil well also accelerated corrosion course and resulted in the damage of tube wall and piercing failure.
