    ANALYSIS ON WORKING CRACKING OF RAIL

    • The longitudinal cracks of rail web which appeared during heating rail. The cracks have been analyzed by means of chemical composition analysis,JSM-5600LV scanning electron microscope inspection,INCA quantitative electron microanalysis and optical microscope examination. The results showed that the high temperature caused by heterogeneous heating on web during shaped rail machining had induced to overburning,cracks,grain boundary melting,and widmanstatten microstructure occurred at rail web.
