Fracture Analysis of 600 MW Set Blade in Power Plant

    • A low-pressure blade which used for the 600 MW super-hypercritic set of a power plant has fractured. The fracture reason was analyzed by means of macroscopic inspection, metallographic examination and fracture analysis. The results showed that the main reason caused blade fracture were that chlorine ions which can lead to corrosion existed in the working environment. And the fracture type of the blade was the corrosion fatigue fracture.
