    Analysis on Defects in 20CrNi2MoA Gear Shaft Forgings

    • Four serious excessive defects were found in gear shaft forgings of 20CrNi2MoA steel in the process of the third ultrasonic testing.The qualitative analysis on excessive defects was carried out by means of macro examination, chemical composition analysis, metallographic examination, fracture analysis and so on.The results showed that the defects were the delayed flake cracks caused by the combination of hydrogen and stress.
