    Analysis of Manufacturing Defects of H68 Brass Flexible Waveguide

    • Problems such as irregular tooth shape, difficult tooth contraction and dedendum tearing were often occur in the manufacturing course of flexible waveguide. An example of H68 brass flexible waveguide was presented, the factors affecting the quality including wall thickness, processes of softenin gannealing, hobbing mould construction, pickling and brazing and so on were analyzed. It showed that the main reasons included overproofed wall thickness of blank tube, uneven clearance and improper meshing (tooclose) of rolling wheel with rack resulted from hobbing mould construction, and inappropriate selection of annealing temperature. Finally the best solution was got by annealing test under different temperature and physical performance examination on H68 brass flexible waveguide.
