    Mechanical Properties Testing of TMCP-Q245R Boiler Steel by Depth-sensing Indentation Technology

    • The basic testing mechanism of depth-sensing indentation was introduced. The procedures of Suresh material mechanical properties test by depth-sensing indentation were also expounded. Vickers micro-hardness tester was used to measure the mechanical properties of the TMCP-Q245R boiler steel.The results showed that elasticity modulus was of reliability and yield strength error was 10% as the indentation load was 500 mN, and then the reason of error was analyzed. At last, it was showed that further theoretical analysis and test verification should be done while the testing method and theory should be developed for the technology to increase practicability and computational accuracy.
