Analysis on Fracture Reason of Track Shoe of Excavator

  • By means of chemical composition analysis, impact and hardness test, metallographic examination, heat treatment validation test and so on, the fracture reason of track shoe of excavator was analyzed. The results showed that the ferritic had not fully integrated into austenitic because of the insufficient heat preservation time in the process of heat treatment, which caused the brittleness increased and led to early fracture in track shoe.
