    Causes Analysis on Fracture of QBe2 Beryllium-bronze Bars during Heat Treatment

    • The fracture reasons of QBe2 beryllium-bronze bars after solution treatment were analyzed by means of macroscopic examination, chemical compositions analysis, metallographic examination and ultrasonic testing. The results show that the main reason for fracture of the bars was that the local temperature of the heating treatment furnace was too high, which caused the heat treated bars local burnt, the grain size too coarse, and the mechanical performance degradation.
