Numerical Simulation Analysis of Inner Stress Field Distribution in Tungsten Matrix Composites

  • The material’s failure mostly arise from inner stress concentration. The research of material’s inner stress field failure mechanisms contributes to the design of new material. The inner stress field in tungsten matrix composites can be shown through the finite element method. The simulation of the inner stress field was realized by finite element software. The results showed that the stress distribution was not the same as expected. The inner stress concentrated not at matrix but high strength tungsten grain.
