    Crack Analysis and Prevention Measures of Boiler Barrel Internal Face

    • With two examples of cracks on the internal surface of boiler barrel in a thermal power plant, the cause of crack formation was analyzed by analyzing the position and features of the cracks and related physical and chemical testing. The result show pits and grooves defects existing on the internal surface of boiler barrel led to the initiation of cracks. The cracks grew gradually under the action of all kinds of stresses, and finally induced cracking. Prevention and control measures were put forwards to avoid the cracks formation finally.
