Cracking Reason Analysis of Base Plates of Turnout Plates
The base plates of turnout plates cracked in the manufacturing process. The cracked base plates were analyzed by means of chemical composition analysis and metallographic examination. The results showed that the inclusions was located at the center of steel plates and the structural segregation were the main reasons for the cracking.
