  • The rules of tensile testing rates of different test methods were discussed, and the present problems in application of GB/T 228.1-2010 were pointed out. During the tensile test, the maneuverability both of controlling the strain rate, Le, and controlling the estimated strain rate over the parallel length when the test system compliance was considered, Lc was worse. By measuring the compliance of many test systems and analyzing the strain rates during the tensile test, it was proved that the equal uncertainty of yield properties could be obtained by controlling the strain rate and the crosshead separation rate when the test system compliance was unconsidered.
