    Failure Analysis on Stress Corrosion Fracture of P110EU Tubing in a Well

    • Through physical and chemical properties testing, SEM and EDS analysis, the fractured P110EU tubing in a well was analyzed. The results show that the fracture property of the tubing was sulfide stress corrosion fracture, which was caused by mechanical damage on outer wall of the tubing. High hardness and the presence of sulfate-reducing bacteria were the main reason leading to the tubing fracture eventually.
