    Process Assessment on Thermal Aging to Eliminate Welding Residual Stress of Steel Structures

    • Aiming at solving the problem of welding deformation and residual stress in the welding process ofthe steel structures,the thermal aging process was applied to welded components,and then the blind hole methodwas used to determine the residual stress distribution and changes of the welding components before and afterthermal aging treatment.The quantitative assessment of the thermal aging effect was done about to the eliminatingresidual stress in the welded steel structures.The results show that by thermal aging treatment,the steel structurewelding residual stress could be greatly reduced,and it could achieve the effects of eliminating stress.
