Pin hole bolt ruptures under its service. Observe and analyze rupture appearance and microstructure by means of SEM. The result shows that improper heat treatment technics causes the microstructure of the pin hole bolt being made of pearlite and network ferrite with ,making the grain boundary serious weakness. The pin hole bolt happens fatigue crack because of stress concentration and its lower strength.
